Lord Howe Island, situated at the crossroads of the Pacific and fed by ocean currents from the Great Barrier Reef to the north, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Australia, teems with a diverse marine life, having some 500 species of fish, plus over 90 coral species and other fascinating creatures. The area boasts the world's most southern coral reef.

In recognition of the importance of this natural diversity, Lord Howe Island was officially placed on the World Heritage List in 1982 for it's rare collection of plants, birds, marine life & exceptional natural beauty.

As a result of this pristine environment, Lord Howe is ideal for those that enjoy the natural beauty and the activities associated with the great outdoors.

Blue Lagoon Lodge can offer you every outdoor activity imaginable, be you extremely active or someone that enjoys a quiet and relaxing holiday

Play a game of tennis, a round of golf, lawn bowls, or sit back in the club house and unwind. A different activity for each day of the week - if you wish.
Activities include: swimming, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, lessons available if required, hand feeding fish, glass bottom boats, deep sea fishing, rock climbing, bush walking, guided nature walks and mountain climbs, scenic lunches and bird watching.

Perhaps a bike ride throughout the Island is more to your liking, where you can travel and explore the beauty of Lord Howe Island at your own leisure.

A peaceful viewing of the famous Ned's beach, where vast numbers of fish swim near the shoreline. Just ask the friendly folk at Blue Lagoon Lodge to find the activity that suits your mood at the time.
