About Us

At Blue Lagoon Lodge, the tradition of friendly, island style hospitality established by Nathan Thompson, a founding father of the Lord Howe settlement, is continued today by his descendants, Barry, Des, and Rodney and their wives.

Blue Lagoon Lodge is centrally located, on level ground just 200 metres from the lagoon. A general store is located on the property, and the Post Office and other facilities nearby.

Lodge Facilities

At Blue Lagoon Lodge all rooms offer the comforts that make a holiday special, such as queen sized beds, microwave oven, electric frypan, cookware and all utensils including cutlery, toaster, kettle, crockery, hairdryer, radio, TV, ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, shower and en suite toilet.

Linen, towels and beach towels are all provided, with a laundry with all usual facilities. Serviced rooms are available on request (additional tariff ).

Shady verandahs overlook lush green sub-tropical gardens, the ideal spot for reading or simply reviving. Undercover Gas Barbecues are located throughout the beautiful grounds. Blue Lagoon Lodge has a large range of bikes which are available to assist your viewing of Lord Howe Island. For the not so active car hire is also provided.

For the more energetic, Blue Lagoon's all-weather tennis court is available to our guests. Billiards and table tennis are available in our spacious games room. We also hire bikes onsite.
